Breezer Preps for Fracture Stimulation at Jackson Well

Breezer Ventures Inc. announced that fracture stimulation is expected to commence shortly at Jackson Well 27 in Texas.

The fracture stimulation is intended to break apart the reserves allowing for a significant increase in the flow of oil. The process has proven to be highly effective in dramatically increasing production from the Tannehill and Moran formation in the area.

The status of five other wells was outlined in a previous operational update showing that three had been drilled and were undergoing completion. One was waiting to spud and one was in the drilling phase.

With six wells currently undergoing drilling, completing or fracture stimulation operations, the Company anticipates a further increase in revenues and reserves as these wells are brought into production. Combined with additional multiple proposals on other wells, the Company remains on course to build a significant oil and gas company focused on USA onshore formations, and in the process generate substantial value for shareholders.

San Leon to Begin Czaslaw-1 Stimulation, Test

San Leon Energy announced that its planned stimulation and test of the Czaslaw-1 well on the Company's Nowa Sol Concession in the Permian Basin of Poland will begin April 22 with the mobilization of coiled tubing, nitrogen lift equipment, and surface test equipment from Vechta, Germany. Recent measurements of the well have shown that the well is building pressure. After taking samples of the fluid in the wellbore the Company has recovered natural gas (including C1-C8) and light oil. Schlumberger has been contracted to complete this phase of the project. 

The Company estimates the following timeline:

April 25 - acid wash and clean out of the wellApril 26-30 - acid squeeze into the Main Dolomite reservoir; after soaking lift fluids in the well bore using nitrogen, followed by 3 day flow test up to 400 bbls of oilMay 1 - shut-in the well for 5 day build-up with downhole gaugesMay 6 - decision on a long term test and oil production, based upon results of the acid stimulation and test

The Czaslaw SL-1 well reached a total depth of 5,112 feet (1,558 meters) measured depth (4,032 feet or 1,229 meters TVD). The well penetrated 141 feet (43 meters) of the targeted Permian Main Dolomite reservoir. Petrophysical analysis shows moderate fracturing of the Main Dolomite within an estimated 95 feet (29 meters) of naturally fractured reservoir. Live oil shows were present on 90 percent of the core plug and detailed petrophysical and core analysis indicates moveable light oil in the Main Dolomite reservoir. The entire Main Dolomite interval shows high fluorescence suggesting both moveable and residual oil. Integrated petrophysical and rock-mechanical analyses suggest the well is a good candidate for artificial stimulation to enhance the natural fractures in the reservoir. There were no indications of water encountered during drilling. The well is the first well on the Czaslaw structure, with room for additional vertical and/or horizontal wells. Several similar structures have been identified in the Company's Nowa Sol 3D seismic survey which covers less than 15 percent of the Nowa Sol Concession area.

Senex Starts Fracture Stimulation Project Onshore Southern Cooper Basin

Senex Energy, the operator of the onshore PEL 115 permit, disclosed Wednesday that it has started fracture stimulation operations at the Kingston Rule-1 unconventional gas exploration well in the Southern Cooper basin.

The company has also started work over and zone perforation operations at the Hornet-1 well sited in the same permit.
The fracture stimulation program over the wells will be completed over a two-month period, with flow testing to continue into June this year.

Kingston Rule-1 was drilled by Senex late last year and intersected 174 feet (53 meters)of net gas pay, with 30 feet (nine meters) in the Epsilon Formation and 144 feet (44 meters) in the Patchawarra Formation tight gas sands. The well also intersected 492 feet (150 meters) of Murteree and Roseneath Shales. Mud logs confirmed the presence of liquid hydrocarbons throughout the Permian section.

The multi-stage fracture stimulation of Kingston Rule-1 targets tight gas sands within the Patchawarra and Epsilon formations. At present, three of a total six zones have been fracture stimulated with bridge plugs set between each zone. The forward operation will be to fracture stimulate the remaining three zones.

Hornet-1 was drilled by Victoria Petroleum in 2004 and intersected gas shows in the Epsilon Formation and 91 feet (28 meters) of net gas pay in the Patchawarra Formation. Two drill stem tests were conducted on Hornet-1 and resulted in gas flowing to surface. The multi-stage stimulation of Hornet-1 will target additional gas sands within the Patchawarra Formation.

As Hornet-1 was a pre-existing well, a work over rig was brought onto the site, to prepare the well for fracture stimulation and perforate the zones in advance of the fracture stimulation equipment arriving onsite.

"We are very pleased that the stimulation of Kingston Rule-1 has commenced and look forward to evaluating the results, along with those from Hornet-1, over the coming months. There is a lot of interest in the unconventional gas potential which is believed to exist in the Cooper Basin and we are excited to be part of it," Orca Energy's Executive Director, Greg Bandy, said in a statement.

Senex has an 80 percent interest in both of the wells, while Ocra Energy holds the remaining 20 percent stake.

Beach's Halifax-1 Well Flows Back Gas and Stimulation Fluid

Beach Energy disclosed Thursday that the flow back of stimulation fluid and gas from the Halifax-1 well, located in the onshore ATP 855P permit, started Feb.11, 2012.

As at 1800 local time Wednesday, the flow was being constrained to 2.2 million standard cubic feet per day by a 24/64 inch choke due to temperature restrictions on elements of the surface equipment. It is anticipated that the choke will be further opened as the ratio of gas to fluid in the well stream increases.

The well reached total depth at 13,994 feet (4,267 meters), after which a 14 stage fracture stimulation program was completed throughout the whole of the gas saturated Permian target zone.

Seven stages were completed in the deeper Patchawarra Formation, one in the Murteree Shale, two in the Epsilon Formation, two in the Roseneath Shale, one in the Daralingie Formation and one in the Toolachee Formation.

Commenting on the well's results, Beach's Managing Director Reg Nelson said: "Halifax-1 is the fourth vertical well to have flowed gas from the unconventional exploration program that Beach has operated to date. Each well in the exploration program is integral to the program as a whole, with various data points obtained along the way. It is anticipated that Halifax-1 will provide relevant information over the coming months that will continue to move this unconventional play toward commercialization."

Senex Starts Fracture Stimulation Program Onshore Cooper Basin

Senex Energy disclosed Thursday that it has started on a large scale fracture stimulation program on its unconventional gas exploration wells in the onshore Cooper Basin, beginning with Skipton-1 in PEL 516.

The five well program aims to delineate unconventional gas resources in several Senex permits in the southern and northern South Australian Cooper Basin.

Senex has successfully drilled three new dedicated unconventional gas exploration wells in its southern permits: Skipton-1, Kingston Rule-1, and Talaq-1. A fourth well, Paning-2 in the northern Cooper Basin, has successfully been drilled and is currently being cased. Senex observed significant zones of net gas pay within all of these wells.

This program involves fracture stimulation and flow testing of these wells, along with the existing Hornet-1 well which flowed gas to surface during drilling in 2004. Senex expects this program will provide information on post-fracture production rates and detailed information to allow the refinement of fracture stimulation design within tight gas sands, shales and deep coals in the Cooper Basin.

In particular, the program seeks to determine the fracture complexity and orientation within both the primary target Patchawarra Formation sands and the secondary targets Roseneath, Epsilon and Murteree shale and tight sand package and the Toolachee and Patchawarra coals.

Senex's Managing Director Ian Davies, noted that the fracture stimulation program would provide valuable information for the appraisal and testing of its unconventional gas assets in the Cooper Basin.

"For Senex, this is another major step forward in the appraisal of our highly prospective unconventional gas assets," Davies said in a statement.

Senex expects the current program will result in the certification of material contingent resources. Measurement of gas flows from these wells will influence the design and location of pilot programs required for longer term production testing and reserves certification.

Upon completion of the Skipton-1 program, Senex will fracture stimulate Kingston Rule-1, Talaq-1, Hornet-1 and Paning-2. The fracture stimulation program will be completed over a two month period, with flow testing to continue into June this year.
